Kwok Ka-ki was a former member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council, serving three terms representing the Medical functional constituency from 2004 to 2008 and the New Territories West constituency between 2012 and 2020. Kwok has been a member of the Civic Party since 2010. He is also a private urology doctor in Hong Kong.
Kwok was one of the four high-profile Civic Party members who were disqualified from the Legislative Council by the National People’s Congress Standing Committee in November 2021.
In January 2021, Kwok was arrested under the National Security Law for participating in an unofficial primary election for the Hong Kong Legislative Council in July 2020. Kwok then resigned from the Civic Party during his lengthy bail hearings in March 2021, which was followed by the disbanding of the party in April 2021. (Photo: In-Media via HKFP)
