Lam Man-chung was arrested on 21 July 2021, and his house was searched on the same day. Lam was charged with conspiracy to collude with foreign forces and conspiracy to publish seditious publications. Lam resigned from Apple Daily after overseeing the publication of the newspaper’s last copy ever released on 24 June 2021.
