Lancelot Chan Wing-tai is a Hong Kong pro-democracy activist who formerly represented the Siu Sai Wan constituency in the Hong Kong Eastern District Council. Chan was also a member of the Chai Wan Startup.

Chan was arrested for “inciting others to participate in an illegal assembly” on 1 July 2020, the day after the National Security Law was imposed. Chan was sentenced to 15 months’ imprisonment in July 2022.

• Charge: Incitement to knowingly take part in an unauthorised assembly

  Incident: Inciting others to participate in a march on 1 July 2020 in protest against the National Security Law

  Sentencing: 15 months’ imprisonment (Ming Pao)
