HKW meets with German MPs, thinktanks, and the Federal Foreign Office to discuss human rights in Hong Kong

Last week, Hong Kong Watch’s Director of Policy and Advocacy Sam Goodman and Research and Policy Advisor Anouk Wear met with several German MPs in the Bundestag, leading German thinktanks, and the Federal Foreign Office to discuss the human rights situation in Hong Kong and the upcoming trial of political prisoners.

Alongside local Hong Kong groups in Germany and German MPs, Hong Kong Watch is working to help create a friendship group to ensure that parliamentarians continue to focus on the deteriorating human rights situation in Hong Kong and encourage the German Government to speak out against the ongoing crackdown.
