One year on from the National Security Law: A message from Lord Patten

1 July marks three anniversaries: the 24th anniversary of the handover of Hong Kong, the first anniversary of the imposition of the draconian National Security Law on Hong Kong and the centenary of the Chinese Communist Party.

In this video message recorded specially for 1 July, the last Governor of Hong Kong Lord Patten of Barnes, a Patron of Hong Kong Watch, reflects on the behaviour of the Chinese Communist Party and its dismantling of Hong Kong’s freedoms and autonomy.
