West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts, 2:30pm HKT

47 pro-democracy activists were arrested in Hong Kong on 28 February 2021. They were charged with conspiracy to commit subversion under the National Security Law for their organisation and participation in a primary election in July 2020. They are:

West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts - Mention, 9:30am HKT

  • Gordon Ng Ching-hang

    Gordon Ng was charged with conspiracy to commit subversion for organizing and coordinating in unofficial pro-democracy primary elections in July 2020.


18 MAY

West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts, 2:30pm HKT

  • Andy Li Yu-hin (currently remanded in custody)

Any Li was charged with 1) conspiracy to commit collusion with a foreign country or with external elements to endanger national security, 2) conspiracy to assist offender and 3) possession of ammunition without a licence.


17 MAY

District Court, 9:30am HKT

The following individuals were charged with incitement to knowingly take part in an unauthorized assembly which took place on 1 October 2020.

  • Chan Ho-wun

  • Lee Cheuk-yan (currently in jail)

  • Leung Kwok Hung (currently in jail)

13 MAY

High Court, 12pm HKT

  • Jimmy Sham Tsz-kit (Update: bail denied)

Jimmy Sham was charged with conspiracy to commit subversion under the National Security Law for participating in an unofficial primary election for the Legislative Council in July 2020.


6 MAY

District Court - Sentence, 9:30am HKT

The following individuals were charged with taking part in an unauthorised Tiananmen Massacre vigil in 2020.

  • Jannelle Rosalynne Leung (Update: Four months imprisonment)

  • Lester Shum Ngo-fai (Update: Six months imprisonment)

  • Joshua Wong Chi-fung (Update: 10 months imprisonment)

  • Tiffany Yuen Ka-wai (Update: Four months imprisonment)

District Court - Plea Hearing, 2:30pm HKT

  • Jimmy Lai Chee-ying

He was charged with fraud.

District Court - Mention, 2:30pm HKT

  • Lam Cheuk-ting

He was charged with intending to pervert the course of justice at the Tuen Mun protest in July 2019.
