Hong Kong Watch launches Vote4HK Canada

Today, Hong Kong Watch launched Vote4HK Canada. This initiative is designed to amplify the voices of Hong Kongers across Canada in preparation for the 2025 Federal Election, with the goal of fostering civic engagement and political participation. 

The mission of Vote4HK Canada is to be informed about the Federal Election and to empower Hong Konger Canadians to take an active role in democratic participation. This initiative and its resources are designed to make it easier for individuals to understand and participate in Canadian democracy such that Hong Kongers’ voices are heard on issues that matter most to the Hong Kong community.

Vote4HK begins with a survey targeting Hong Kongers eligible to vote in Canada. This survey, available in both English and Traditional Chinese, is the first step towards understanding the concerns and priorities of the Hong Kong community in Canada. The results of this survey will provide data-driven insights that will shape the campaign. If you are a Hong Konger eligible to vote in Canada, we invite you to share your thoughts by completing the survey here.

This initiative is inspired by Vote4HK UK, with whom Hong Kong Watch has collaborated to encourage British National (Overseas) Hong Kongers to meet with their local candidates and learn about the different political parties leading up to the 2024 UK General Election. At the encouragement of Vote4HK UK, Hong Kong Watch will undertake a similar initiative in Canada to engage the Hong Kong diaspora in understanding and participating in the Canadian political landscape.

香港監察啟動「Vote4HK Canada」倡議 助加拿大港人迎接2025年聯邦大選

香港監察今天啟動「Vote4HK Canada」倡議。這項倡議旨在為2025年加拿大聯邦大選做準備，力求壯大加拿大各地香港人的聲音，目標是鼓勵公民及政治參與。

「Vote4HK Canada」的使命是獲取聯邦大選的資訊，讓港裔加拿大人能夠積極參與民主進程。這項倡議及其提供的資源旨在促進理解並參與加拿大民主，從而在港人社群最關注的議題上，聽見香港人的聲音。

「Vote4HK Canada」首先展開問卷調查，對象為有資格在加拿大投票的香港人。這項調查是了解加拿大港人社群關注事項和當務之急的第一步，設有英文和繁體中文版本。調查結果會提供以數據為導向的見解，決定倡議的發展方向。如果你是有資格在加拿大投票的香港人，我們邀請你到這裏填寫問卷，分享你的想法。

這項倡議受到「Vote4HK UK」啟發。香港監察在2024年英國大選前與他們合作，鼓勵BNO港人與所屬選區候選人會面，了解不同政黨。在「Vote4HK UK」的鼓勵下，香港監察會在加拿大推行類似倡議，讓離散港人社群理解並參與加拿大政治格局。
