Hong Kong Watch co-hosts New Year’s Eve party at HongKonger Community Centre

Hong Kong Watch Canada and HongKonger Station hosted a New Year’s Eve party at the HongKonger Community Centre in Toronto on Saturday, 31 December 2022. More than 200 Hong Kongers attended the event, sharing Hong Kong food and exchanging information on life and work in Canada.

Canadian bankers were invited to introduce development and career opportunities in the banking sector. A recruitment platform was also launched to help participants polish their CVs and register for more information on recruitment.

Max Wu, Hong Kong Watch Canada’s Community Outreach and Communications Advisor, chaired a roundtable discussion on the Open Work Permit scheme, in which he updated participants on the progress with our meetings with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and answered questions about the scheme.
