UK Government announces renewal of BNO integration funding

The Government has today announced a renewal of funding for Hong Kong BNOs to ensure successful integration into UK society.

It renews the Government support package that was announced last year supporting VCSE organisations and the Strategic Migration Partnerships which are carrying out projects to welcome Hong Kongers.

Lord Steven Greenhalgh, Minister of State at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities announced the renewal of funding at the inaugural Welcoming Committee for Hongkongers conference.

Benedict Rogers, Chief Executive of Hong Kong Watch said:

“We are delighted that the government has committed to continue supporting Hong Kong arrivals into the UK.”

It is a statement of intent from our government that Hong Kongers who are fleeing the destruction of freedoms in their homeland, will always be welcome in our country.”

We will continue to work with our colleagues in civil society organisations, and the government, to ensure that those choosing to come to the UK will be able to have the best start to their lives here.”
