LBC: The death of Apple Daily and the dismantling of Hong Kong's freedoms

On 24 June 2021, our Chief Executive Benedict Rogers was interviewed by LBC on the closure of Apple Daily and dismantling of freedoms of Hong Kong.

Benedict said:

“It is definitely needed to have targeted sanctions against both individuals in Hong Kong and Beijing governments and entities associated with them that are responsible for the dismantling of Hong Kong’s freedoms.

He also said that one of the reasons that China are ignoring the agreement and will be emboldened to do things that should not be done in Hong Kong under the terms of the joint agreement is that “there have been no consequences for their actions”.
