Hong Kong Watch Trustee visits German Parliament to share our new report findings
Aileen Calverley, one of Hong Kong Watch's Trustees, visited the Bundestag (German Parliament) in January meeting with the Foreign Ministry, Green Party MP Margarete Bause MP and CDU MP Martin Patzelt. Martin Patzelt MP agreed to co-host a seminar with Gyde Jensen MP, the Chair of the Committee of Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid, for the launch of Hong Kong Watch's new report "Why Hong Kong Matters" on 16 June 2020. The event has now been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In March, our team had a conference call meeting with Parliamentarians from the Green Party - Dr Danyal Bayaz and Margarete Bause MP - on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the upcoming EU-China Summit in Germany in September.
